Mice
Noticed some furry creatures in the night? Maybe your cat or dog suddenly starts going crazy in the middle of the night at seemingly nothing? Or maybe there are teeth marks on your skirting boards?
Did you know that mice can produce between 5 to 10 litters per year? Meaning that one mouse could turn into 70 mice within a year. So, although they may look cute in pictures they will become a big problem in your home or business if left to their own devices. We understand how mice behave and the best way to remove then from the premises and prevent them coming back.
Signs of mice:
Droppings: mice can produce up to 80 droppings per night, which will be scattered over your home or business.
Scurrying or scratching noises: they are most active at night so you may not hear them during the day when you’re searching for them. They move quickly and love to burrow so can move from one area to another before you have a chance to pinpoint their location.
Strong smell: this could be from urine which has a strong ammonia smell, or from a dead mouse which will produce a pungent smell especially if it is warm in your home.
Nests: mice love soft materials and will use whatever is easily available to them to make their nest to keep their offspring safe or guard food. They will typically be hidden away out of sight in walls, lofts, or under floorboards so they won’t be disturbed.
Tracks: if they have nested in dusty areas such as the basement or loft then they may leave small footprints and tails marks on surfaces.
